Over the past 20 years, I have edited and produced a wide variety of television programming, most recently completing the 8thseason of the hit ID series Unusual Suspects as co-executive producer and editor.
I believe in editing as storytelling and bring a unique and indispensable ability to turn random footage into compelling and emotional stories that resonate with audiences.
As staff editor at LMNO Productions, I edited a variety of pilot episodes, helping establish the style and format of several hit series, including TLC’s The Little Coupleand HGTV’s What’s With That House.
My experience as an editor includes virtually every show format around: docu soaps, reality competitions, food, travel, clip shows, talk shows, hidden camera, and most recently true crime.
I’ve also edited countless sizzle reels, using archival and found footage to create powerful proof of concept videos, including a two-and-a-half minute reel for Discovery that won Best Pitch Reel at the Real Screen Festival. The award came with this commentary: “…the reel makes the pitch and then closes the deal. It suggests a story thread, takes a left turn into conflict, and then finds resolution, all in the space of two-and-a-half minutes. While the music plays a huge part (though we suspect it won’t be affordable for the final cut), the viewer and ultimately the commissioning editor know exactly what they’re getting from the film once they’ve seen the trailer. It’s an excellent study for producers looking to see how a successful prodco sells its ideas.”
